Assalamo Alaykum Wa Rahmatu Allah

Great News to All Our Community Members
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Our Islamic Community Centre with Allah's help was able to complete the property purchase deal on Oct 01st 2014. The new mosque address is 2430 Dufferin street  and Alhamdolillah has become the permanent location of Masjid Alqalam. the renevoation process has been completed and it will open its doors on April 03rd 2015 insha'Allah.

Here are some of the reasons why we think this is a perfect location for our community:

  • It’s a corner unit in a plaza and it has at least 6 private parking spots and 4 additional spots in the street. The corner unit provides a very large façade to the Masjid and has 3 separate exits.

  • The property has two rental apartments and about twice as much prayer space as we have in the current Masjid location on Marlee Ave.

  • It’s about 200 metres north of Dufferin and Eglinton intersection where a new subway station is being built.

  • The new location is only 3 minutes drive from the current location on Marlee Ave.  

  • It’s exactly across from a very large church with plenty of parking space and we will try to negotiate access to the parking during Friday prayers.

  • The price is affordable to us and we should be able inchaallah to work together to raise the additional funds to close the deal by October 1st 2014

How Can you Help:

We are very happy to inform you again that the new location opening date Friday April 03rd 2015; Your assistance and donations will not only help us to Free the Masjid from all debt, it will also strengthen our community by having a place to increase our faith and knowledge of our great religion. Your help to the Masjid will be an ongoing Sadaqa “Jaria” that will Inshaa Allah be a protection for you and for all of us now and in the hereafter.
